FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KAYO Announces New Holiday EP A Very Kayo Christmas, Arriving December 5
KAYO returns just in time for the holiday season with a brand new three-song Christmas EP titled A Very Kayo Christmas, available on all streaming platforms this Friday, December 5.
The project highlights a unique blend of nostalgia, Caribbean warmth, and modern holiday spirit, while also marking an exciting moment in KAYO's evolving journey as a songwriter and creator.
The EP opens with "Holiday Flex," recently placed in the Hallmark film Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper—a fun, lighthearted 2025 release about a well-meaning but chronically unlucky weatherman who returns to his hometown for Christmas, reconnects with a former high-school crush, and navigates a series of festive mishaps on his way to love and redemption. The placement follows shortly after KAYO's publishing deal with Cymba Music, making it one of the first major achievements since signing.
The title track, "A Very Kayo Christmas," was recorded nearly five years ago during a session in Toronto with longtime collaborator Eric Gordon and produced by Halifax's own Grant Keddy. Once a personal studio favourite, the song finally finds its home on this festive release.
Rounding out the project is "This Christmas," produced by Acalus (Alex Leblanc). Originally drafted for the Hallmark pitch, the track was completed once the EP came into focus, becoming the final piece that tied the project together.
With heartfelt storytelling, warm production, and a touch of island influence, A Very Kayo Christmas offers listeners a fresh, uplifting soundtrack for the season.
The EP will be available on all streaming platforms Friday, December 5.
