This collaboration is a full-circle moment: Zamani is the daughter of the St. Lucian professor, Harvey Miller, who originally inspired KAYO's move to Halifax — a connection that deepens the meaning behind the track.
Following the single release, Zamani will perform at the St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival on May 8, where KAYO performed in 2023, continuing a legacy of Caribbean creativity on a global stage.
The single also drops on the heels of the 2025 East Coast Music Awards, where KAYO will be performing at the Gala in addition to being nominated for 3 awards - Global record of the year for "Lightning in a bottle" ft. aRENYE, African Canadian Artist of the year, and R&B/Soul Recording of the year for "City on Fire" w/ aRENYE, BASYL, and NULO.
Hol' A Medz is the follow up single to RARE FORM released earlier this year, and is the second single off KAYO's upcoming EP entitled GABRIEL.
