St Lucian born, Canadian based multi genre artist, KAYO has just won the award for ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the ANSMA Awards in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
ANSMA ( African Nova Scotian Music Association) celebrated 25 years of existence and operation with their annual Award ceremony, which took place on October 5, 2023.
KAYO won the award for ARTIST OF THE YEAR and was also nominated for Album/Ep of the year for his latest release, TRIP.
This is fresh off the heels of KAYO completing the east coast leg of the Man with No Door Tour in the United States alongside Kes the Band, Teddyson John & Jimmy October!
In addition, KAYO will be taking part in the Juno Wave Maker Program on October 21, where he will be competing for a chance to perform at the 2024 Juno Awards taking place in Halifax!
KAYO will also be performing as part of the TD connect series alongside Kardinal Offishall, Haviah Mighty and Jah'mila on November 9, and is currently nominated for 3 awards at the Music Nova Scotia Music & Industry Awards to be held in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia from November 2-5.
The awards he is nominated for are R&B/Soul project of the year, Dj of the year & African Nova Scotian Artist of the year.
